THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to all parents and friends of the school who turned out in force to work in the conservation area on Saturday.  The morning was a huge success and the area is making great progress.

SUMMER FIESTA

We hope to have a wonderful event tomorrow.  Please do come along and join in the fun.  We hope that all parents will try to support their child’s class stall by spending a short time helping.  If you have not signed up please do so today!

There is always a great deal of clearing up to do at the end of an event like this so any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

OPEN AFTERNOON

We hope you are coming to our Olympic open afternoon on Monday.  There will be a variety of sports and physical activities for you and your children to enjoy, and of course, teas and coffees in the hall.  You will need to make sure you are wearing sensible shoes and bring a drink of water, especially if the weather is hot!  If it is too rainy we will have to cancel and a board will be put out to let you know this on Monday morning.  Please let your child’s class teacher know if you are able to come so that we can sort out small groups for the afternoon.

There will a small charge of £1.00 per family to contribute towards the cost of new PE storage.  Parents – please bring a £1.00 coin with you in the afternoon and hand it to the teacher when you collect your child and your “Olympic booklet”.

Thank you so much for your support and we look forward to seeing you, fingers crossed for the weather!

SPORTS DAY

We will be finishing our Olympic topic with our very own ‘mini-olympics’ on Friday.  Children will be representing different parts of the world and will need to wear the following…

Classes 1, 4 and 7 = United Kingdom .   RED T-SHIRT, any shorts and trainers/daps.

Classes 2, 5 and 8 = Europe .   BLUE T-SHIRT, any shorts and trainers/daps.

Classes 3, 6 and 9 = Rest of the World.  GREEN T-SHIRT, any shorts and trainers/daps.

Children may come to school in this kit and remain in it all day.  If the weather is chilly please ensure that they have joggers and a jacket.  They must also all have a water bottle and sun hat.

We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event at 10.00 am, Friday 20th June.  If the weather is too wet we will put a board out in the morning and try again at 10.00 am on Monday 23rd June.
