“THE OLYMPICS”

During our three “Olympics” topic weeks, commencing 3rd June, all children will have extra PE/coaching.  They will all have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities to give them the chance to try many different sports.

Please ensure your child has a complete PE kit in school at all times in anticipation of this extra activity.

LOST PROPERTY - REMINDER

Our Lost Property box is overflowing once again.  Anything not claimed by the end of today will be given to a local charity shop for recycling.

TOYS IN SCHOOL

Please ensure that children do not come into school with toys, cards or sticker books unless requested to by the child’s class teacher as part of the curriculum.

SUMMER HOLIDAY

WHITE “INJURY” STICKERS

After the half-term break, if a child sustains a minor injury during the school day, he/she will exit the class with a white sticker.  If your child comes out with such a sticker, please take the time to see the class teacher to discuss the incident.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Over the last few weeks we have been reviewing the security of the school site to ensure the children are safe at all times.

We have found it tricky releasing children via the main entrance and with staff leaving the premises.  Therefore the children will now be released via the Foundation Stage Class area (Classes 1, 2 & 3).  Please do not block access and keep younger children with you at all times.

YR DRAMA CLUB

There are a few spaces in our Term 6 Drama Club for Year R pupils beginning 9th June.  Please call into the office if your child would like to attend.

THANK YOUS

A huge thank you to all the parents who kindly assisted the staff when an accident occurred outside Class 2 on Wednesday last.  We are happy to report that the little girl concerned is fine.

PA CORNER

Drawing Competition

Our thanks to all the children who sent in their drawings for our Summer Fiesta posters/ programmes/stalls. We had some fantastic artwork, with lots of different ideas. All the pictures are on our website (www.swispa.co.uk) so you can have a look. Some have been used on our posters and in our programme, but all will be used at the summer fiesta somewhere!

Our prize winners were: Georgia Monk, Lewis Crawley and Holly Trace, but well done everyone.

Summer Fiesta Helpers

Have you seen our notices at your classrooms? Look out for them and if you haven’t already, please put your name down to help on your class stall. We’re going to give a class prize for the best supported stall on the day. Don’t forget we also need help to set up and pack away, so please, please sign up to help make this a fantastic day.

We’ve had a great response to our request for Toys ‘n’ Teds, so thank you very much. After the break we will be asking for bottles for our bottle tombola – so look around and see what you have spare!

Family Disco – TONIGHT!

Strutting your stuff tonight? Hope you all have a fun evening and don’t forget to have a go with our disco raffle.
