MATHS AND SCIENCE FORTNIGHT

The children have had a fantastic week with the most exciting activities going on around school.  It was wonderful to see a group of parents participating in the activities at the parents’ workshop yesterday evening.  A huge thank you to all the staff, especially Mrs McMahon, Mrs Trafford and to Mr Lankester and Mrs Gover who put together the photo-story to share with the parents – the fun continues next week!

We are still looking for parents/helpers for the second week (6-9 May) who work in the medical field who may be able to come in and talk to the children.  This is a valuable experience for them.  If you are able to help, please pop in and see Mrs McMahon.

CONSERVATION AREA

The Conservation area is looking superb thanks to a great deal of hard work by parents and friends of the school but there is still plenty to do.  If you can spare any time to help out in the conservation area, please let the office know.

BEDDING PLANTS

A huge thank you to all of the parents who have sent in bedding plants.  If every child brought in one plant we would have 264 and a wonderful colourful display.  Please give the plants to the Teaching Assistant in your child’s class.

HELP WITH READING

We are very fortunate to have so many parents/helpers to come in to read with the children.  We still need more help however.  If you could give some time to do this please pass your name to the class teacher.

OLYMPICS WEEK

On last week’s newsletter the Olympics weeks were dated 3rd-13th June.  The Olympic theme will actually run for three weeks from 3rd-20th June.  More details later.
